Come and join us for our social dog walks in and around York! THESE WALKS ARE IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS AND ARE GUIDED BY NIKI. THEY ARE GREAT FOR MEETING NEW FRIENDS (BOTH HUMAN AND DOG) AS WELL WORKING ON YOUR DOGS TRAINING.
Please note:
Your dog must be both people and dog friendly to attend these walks. These walks are not suitable for reactive dogs
You are responsible for your dogs behaviour during the walk. Please pick up after them TOO.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.
charity sponsored dog walk
this october, I will be organising a sponsored dog walk to help raise money for charity.
the walk will include hiking North Yorkshire’s “mini mountain”, Roseberry Topping. Roseberry Topping is a distinctive, half-cone-shaped hill standing 1,049 feet (320 m) high on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
We will be raising money for Leukaemia Care who support people with leukaemia, MDS, and MPNs, from diagnosis and beyond. That includes adults, children, families, carers, and people with rare or less common diagnoses. The money raised from this event will go towards my husband, Chris’s, London Marathon charity total for Leukaemia Care, a cause very close to our families hearts.
the walk will take place on sunday 4th october. we will meet at the car park in newton under roseberry, postcode ts9 6qs, at 10.30am. the walk will be aprox 6 miles long, depending on weather, but will include reaching the top of roseberry topping and hopefully visiting captain cooks momunment too!
Dogs must be sociable around other dogs and people to join, as well as being fit, able AND OLD ENOUGH enough to complete the whole walk. SADLY THIS WALK IS NOT SUITBALE FOR PUPPIES.
there is a £10 fee to join the event and then you will be required to help raise money through our event just giving page (link below) or/and by collecting sponsorship money in person.
